Interuniverstiy Research Network Elfriede Jelinek

The Interuniversity Research Network Elfriede Jelinek, was formed on 1 February 2020 by the University of Vienna and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Elfriede Jelinek having studied at both institutions, the network connects the two and fosters interuniversity relations and dialogue, developing new interdisciplinary methods and formats as well as new forms of scientific and artistic research. In doing so the research network builds on the former Research Platform Elfriede Jelinek, which was based at the University of Vienna from 2013–2019 and cooperates with the Elfriede Jelinek Research Centre, which was founded in 2004.

The overall goal is to promote interdisciplinary research on Elfriede Jelinek’s works, contexts and reception between experts at the University of Vienna, the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) and international researchers, art institutions, and artists. An important objective of the network is research oriented teaching as well as supporting and fostering young researchers and artists.
