Fulbright - University of Vienna Visiting Professor of Social Sciences
Since 1952, Fulbright Austria has been promoting mutual understanding between the USA and Austria. The scholarships awarded by Fulbright Austria enable scientists to conduct research and teach. The Fulbright – University of Vienna Visiting Professorship of Social Sciences, funded by the Faculty of Social Sciences, is awarded to scholars with US citizenship from the following disciplines: communication, demography, development studies, nursing science, political science, science and technology studies, social and cultural anthropology, sociology.
The visiting professorship for teaching and research enables a four-month teaching and research stay at the Faculty of Social Sciences and includes the delivery of two courses and a workshop for doctoral students. It may also include advising or supervising advanced students. It is advertised annually with an application deadline in mid-September and is endowed with EUR 5,000 per month and a one-time travel allowance of EUR 1,000.
