Research Networks

Research networks build critical mass in interdisciplinary research areas and particularly to strengthen and connect the strategic priorities of the University of Vienna. This raises the profile of research related to the strategic priorities. The networks initiate new joint research projects, promote international partnerships and actively communicate research results to politicians and society in line with the University of Vienna's third mission. Research clusters are established by the Rectorate for a limited time and are regularly evaluated.

Researchers of the Faculty of Social Sciences are involved in the "Research Network Democracy and Human Rights", the "Health and Society Research Network" and the "Environment and Climate Research Hub". Two of these research networks are co-led by scientists from the Faculty of Social Sciences and are based at the faculty.
