Research Network Latin America

The Research Network Latin America is a university-wide research network of the University of Vienna. It was established on September 1, 2020. It is organizationally assigned to the Department of Political Science and is scientifically led by Prof. Ulrich Brand and Dr. Tobias Boos. Dr.in Isabella Radhuber is a scientific collaborator and the Network is coordinated by Ingrid Fankhauser, MA.

The Research Network Latin America is an initiative of the Rectorate to promote inter- and transdisciplinary Latin America research at the University of Vienna. The goal of the network is to further strengthen the cooperation of the participating internal and external academic institutions as well as the cooperation with non-scientific actors. The newly established Latin America Research Network is intended to act as a hub and infrastructure for broader scientific contexts in Austria and beyond. It aims to contribute to the bundling of Latin America-relevant research, as well as to intensify and to visualize existing connections.
